The Rain

I got this through my email and find it meaningful.

----------

One rainy afternoon I was driving along one of the main streets of town, taking those extra precautions necessary when the roads are wet and slick. Suddenly, my daughter, Aspen, spoke up from her relaxed position in her seat. "Dad, I'm thinking of something."

This announcement usually meant she had been pondering some fact for a while, and was now ready to expound all that her six-year-old mind had discovered. I was eager to hear. "What are you thinking?" I asked.

"The rain!;" she began, "is like sin, and the windshield wipers are like God wiping our sins away."

After the chill bumps raced up my arms I was able to respond. "That's really good, Aspen."

Then my curiosity broke in. How far would this little girl take this revelation? So I asked. "Do you notice how the rain keeps on coming? What does that tell you?"

Aspen didn't hesitate one moment with her answer:"We keep on sinning, and God just keeps on forgiving us."

I will always remember this whenever I turn my wipers on.

----------

Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.

In order to see the Rainbow, you must first endure some Rain.

19 June 2005

Today (19 June 2005) marks the last day of me being a Contract Teacher in Coral Secondary School. It was quite an experience for me for the past 9 months that I were in this school and it's also an unforgettable one. Colleagues are supportive, friendly and helpful.

With the ending of this short life chapter,I would like to take
this opportunity to thank everyone in Coral Secondary, from the top of the command chain (Principal) right to the bottom (the cleaners) for your guidance, concerns, support and lastly friendship. Not forgetting the students of course. Thank you for the wonderful time in Coral.

Holidays

This week is the start of school holidays!! Hurray!! Finally got some time to breath!! Finally got a chance to catch up on things that are important beside work!!! hahaha.... Like some friends (who are teachers) are preparing for their wedding this YEAR END or even IN LATE JUNE!!! hahaha...

Any teacher(s) out there that share the same sentiment??? hahaha...

School holidays are not always holidays for both students and teachers. Like my students who are taking 'O' Level D&T. They need to complete their course work during this holiday as once the school re-open, they would not have time to do such massive course work... Lucky for me, these students know the importance of this course work and they diligently come to school almost everyday from 9 to 5 to do their work. Having such sensible students really made sacrificing precious time for them worthwhile. And hopefully they are able to do very well for this subject as I can see that they really love this subject!!!
